Josh is a Detroit native who studied piano pedagogy at the University of Michigan before completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in piano performance Hillsdale College. He has performed at various Bach Festivals, studio recitals, singer-songwriter open mics, and improvisational jazz numbers for social events. He continues his study of piano technique and pedagogy under the expertise of Taubman-trained piano educator Elizabeth Mueller Grace.

Joe Pastor is accomplished not only as a music educator, but also as performer and composer. He holds a Master’s of Art in Teaching and a Bachelor of Music Performance in Jazz Percussion. A Missouri-certified K-12 music teacher, Joe was the director of music at Bishop DuBourg High School for seven years and has been teaching college music classes and ensembles for over ten years at St. Louis Community College and at Jefferson College.

Andy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Music and a Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from Truman State in Kirksville. He teaches voice and piano lessons for any age and skill level. He has community theater experience, has directed choirs and musical productions, sang in a professional chamber chorus, and taught music theory at the collegiate level. His main goal in teaching is to nurture the joy of music within his students.

Joe specializes in drums, percussion, and beginner-level piano, with a master’s degree in music from Webster University. He has taught private lessons since 2007 and has extensive training in jazz performance and classical percussion techniques. He performs regularly in various indie-rock groups throughout the Midwest and fills in as a sideman for local rock bands in his spare time.

Aidan Bartholet is a guitarist and an aspiring composer and producer from St. Louis, Missouri. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Guitar Performance from the Eastman School of Music and studied audio engineering at the University of Rochester. He has performed across the U.S. and Europe, supporting Isabel Dumaa and appearing at festivals like Summerfest and the Rochester International Jazz Festival. His musical foundation was shaped by years of study with teachers and programs throughout St. Louis.

Mark Saunders is a native St. Louisan who holds a BFA in Musical Theater from Lindenwood University. As a triple-threat tenor, actor, and dancer, Mark was in the national tour for Something Rotten! and has performed in numerous regional theater productions at The Muny, Arrow Rock Lyceum Theater, STAGES St. Louis, and Stray Dog Theater and with the St. Louis Symphony.

Zach Tesch is a St. Louis-based composer and violinist whose works have been premiered by the PHACE Ensemble, Chamber Project St. Louis, FUSE Quartet, and the Webster University New Music Ensemble.
Zach’s teaching focuses on supplying students with the confidence and freedom to make their own artistic decisions while simultaneously teaching the fundamentals of the craft. Students will be encouraged to explore specific areas of interest to them and to develop their own musical voice.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Tom Finger started playing piano at age 7. Tom is classically trained and received his Bachelors degree in piano performance from University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory and his Master of Pedagogy from Webster University.

Justin is a saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist with a lengthy performance history in jazz, rock, and classical ensembles. He holds a degree in music education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is also a middle-school band director in the Ferguson-Florissant School District.

Markell Singleton is a clarinetist specializing in single reed pedagogy. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. As a passionate and energetic educator, Markell brings enthusiasm and a deep love of music to every lesson. His teaching philosophy centers on inspiring students through joyful engagement and a strong foundation in musical technique.

Kevin is a multi-instrumentalist K-12 certified educator and performer who holds a bachelor’s degree in instrumental music education from Webster University. For more than 26 years, he has been performing on stage, recording in the studio, or teaching music education in the classroom and private lesson setting. Kevin's primary instrument is drums and percussion, and his secondary is guitar. He also teaches brass, woodwinds, piano, strings, composition, and music theory.
Juan Luchini

Juan Luchini is a St. Louis-based multi-instrumentalist and music producer. He studied music business and songwriting at Belmont University in Nashville. Juan spent three years in Argentina as a singer, guitarist, and founder of an acapella soul group. In 2020, Juan joined nationally touring funk band Sneezy as a keyboardist, vocalist, and percussionist. Juan has guided students to improve their skills in guitar, vocal performance, drum set, keyboards, band/ensemble and songwriting.

Nick Fiveash is a guitarist from Georgia with over a decade of professional playing experience. He attended the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University where he studied Jazz Guitar Performance. Since moving to St. Louis in 2018, Nick has performed and recorded with several local artists of many different genres, and has constantly strived for musical growth and excellence in each endeavor.
Bo Canfield
Piano
Bo Canfield is a pianist, composer, and educator who is currently finishing a double major in Music and Psychology at Washington University in St. Louis. His background spans jazz, contemporary music, and musical theater, having performed with many ensembles as the principal pianist. He has also scored two short films as an affiliate of Washington University’s Film and Media Studies Department. He also has extensive experience working with neurodivergent populations, and he strives to make music education inclusive, adaptable, and empowering for every student.

Born and raised right outside of St. Louis, Erica Scaturro works as the Business Administrator for Shock City School of Music. She graduated from Lindenwood University with a BA in Music Business.
While Erica has experience with singing, ukulele, and songwriting, her main passion is to help ignite the love of music within others, which is why she enjoys having the opportunity to work with a music school such as Shock City.

Jonathan Taylor is a percussionist, educator, and composer who has been based in St. Louis since 2003. Jonathan holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Missouri–St Louis. Recent performance credits include The Repertory Theater of St. Louis and STAGES St. Louis. He was named a Kranzberg Arts Foundation Artist in Residence for 2021–2023. Previously, he was the percussion instructor for Northwest High School in Cedar Hill, Mo. (2013–2021).
