WHY GROUP UKULELE?

The ukulele is a well-loved, very beginner-friendly instrument, making it a fantastic way for children to learn music fundamentals. Our weekly classes cover core music concepts, along with fun activities to make the class interactive, rewarding, and fun! We take a traditional and age-appropriate approach to learning, playing traditional, familiar favorites, and popular songs.

Using Alfred’s Kid’s Ukulele Course, students will:

• Build hand strength, coordination, and finger independence

• Learn to read music and follow along with a structured method book

• Develop rhythm skills through strumming, clapping, and movement

• Gain confidence playing in a group and making music with peers

We have seen great success within our group class students. Group learning fosters and inspires the longevity of learning, social and internal motivation to progress, and encourages the desire for further music development and play.
