Ryan Anthony is a jazz percussionist whose career spans live performance, recording, composition, arranging, and education. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance and a Master’s degree in Jazz Performance from Arizona State University.

A versatile musician fluent in a wide range of styles, Ryan has collaborated with Bob Mintzer, Corcoran Holt, Joey Sellers, George Colligan, Michael Kocour, Russ Schmidt, Clark Gibson, and many others. From 2015 to 2019, he was a member of the Scottsdale Community College Jazz Orchestra, performing alongside John Clayton, James Darcy Argue, John Hollenbeck, Miguel Zenón, George Garzone, Jeremy Pelt, and Marshall Gilkes. He also recorded and performed original music with the Phoenix- based jazz groups Running from Bears and Union32.

In 2025, Ryan relocated to St. Louis, where he is an instructor at Shock City School of Music. Passionate about both jazz and popular music, he especially enjoys guiding students who are new to improvisation.
