Daniel has been involved in the St Louis music community for almost 30 years. He graduated with honors from the Musicians Institute P.I.T. (Percussion Institute of Technology) in Hollywood, California, where he studied with some of the greatest veteran session musicians in Los Angeles. After returning home to Minneapolis–St. Paul, he established himself as a performing and recording artist and as an educator, which he continued in Indiana in the 1990s until ultimately settling in St. Louis. Daniel immediately began performing locally and teaching drums at Drum Headquarters. He has also worked as a clinician for Sabian and Vic Firth. While specializing in drum set and hand percussion, Daniel also sings and plays keyboards and bass guitar. Since 2002, he has performed as the lead vocalist in the U2 tribute act U2 HYPE.
