Extreme Institute offers total immersion workshops in audio technology, social media training, and songwriting. Ideal for adults seeking continuous learning, college-age students exploring alternatives, or those wanting to test the waters before committing to traditional university education.
In our Songwriting Workshop, we’ll be discussing and analyzing what makes songs tick through popular compositions from contemporary artists and using these revelations to explore the content via personal creativity. The workshop meets weekly for two hours with the first hour dedicated to listening, analysis, and discussion of songs and the second hour dedicated to exploring a songwriting concept in further detail.
Each workshop begins with an orientation which serves as a preparatory step for new students, equipping them with essential knowledge necessary to join the total immersion songwriting workshops. Through this orientation, participants will dive into the essentials of song structure, terminology for song structure and arrangement, and how to listen and analyze compositions. Our objective is to empower new learners with the understanding of how to break down these complicated topics and move effectively into the group learning environment. Orientations are held monthly, and once that is completed, workshops meet weekly.
